Located at the Pearl River estuary, CCT/SCT are tightly connected with the well-known World Factory-the vast Pearl River Delta economic hinterland. By right of this privileged location, in 2001, CCT/SCT had jointly initiated the PRD Shuttle services shuttling between Western Shenzhen Ports and main river ports alongside the Pearl River Delta areas, aimed at providing the local users and liner companies a more convenient and cost-effective express way. In 2003, in order to comply with the fast development of the shuttle services, which had been already extended beyond the Pearl River Delta economic hinterland into some South China costal ports, PRD Shuttle service was accordingly renamed to South China Shuttle service.

With abundant cargoes in PRD hinterland and South China coastal areas, comprehensive barge services network and improvement of declaration environment in western Shenzhen ports, South China Shuttle have provided better transportation services to 110 international shipping lines calling at CCT and SCT.
Nowadays, South China Shuttle has extended its services to Guangzhou( Huangpu)、Shunde、Jiangmen、Zhongshan、Nanhai、 Foshan、 Zhanjiang,、Maoming、Zhuhai、Guangxi(Fangcheng、Beihai) and very soon will cover Haikou、Macao etc.
