On the evening of 30th March, Chiwan Container Terminal (CCT) had the first IRISL’s 6500teus mega vessel – MV. Fifth Ocean. MV. Fifth Ocean has the LOA of 304.01m, summer load draft of 14.03m and designed capacity of 6500teus, currently phased in IRISL’s PCL service.
MV. Fifth Ocean stably moored at Berth M6 under cautious pilotage in a misty evening at 20:45. Mr. B. Azadegan, The South China & HK representative of IRISL and Mr. Kim Lau, the Managing Director of H&T Int’l Transportation LTD went on-board to visit the Master so as the celebrate the maiden call at CCT.
MV. Fifth Ocean was loaded with 6201 teus after the cargo operation, and sailed at 7:00 on 31st.
