May 30, 2008, MSC and Chiwan Container Terminal Co. Ltd,. (CCT) jointly organized a Vendors’ Seminar at Shangri-La Hotel Shenzhen. More than 150 delegates from shippers, forwarders, logistic companies, cargo owners and related parties were participated the event.
Present there were Ms. Loretta Au, General Manager of Hong Kong, South China & Taiwan of MSC by his management team, senior officers from Shekou Customs and Shekou CIQ as well as Mr. Shao Jian Qiang, Business Management Department General Manager of CMHI (China Merchants Holdings International Co., Ltd), Mr. Dong Xuedai, Deputy General Manager of CMML (China Merchant Maritime & Logistics (Shenzhen) Ltd.), CCT Managing Director Mr. Zheng Shao Ping, CCT Deputy GM Deng Wei Dong, CCT Commercial Voice President Mr. Carl Shem and so on.
Firstly, Mr. Zheng Shao Ping made a welcome speech on behalf of CCT. Then, CCT representative updated made introduction on terminal facilities, GPS system, Triple-lift Quayside cranes, traffic connection, customs environment as well as logistic value-added solutions. After that, representative from CMML introduced logistic value-added solutions in detailed.
On the Q & A section, delegates answered questions about Customs policy and environment, truck service and so on which were concerned,
At last, a tour to terminal and operation for Triple-lift Quayside cranes were arranged.
The aim of this seminar is to grow on understand between CCT and customers, and also enhance the cooperation between CCT and MSC to build a win-win relationship.
