In the morning of October 12, 2008, the vessel of “MAERSK DUESSELDORF / 30I”berthed at CCT which signaled that the new Asia to Australia service 'pendulum loop’ created by DENMARK's Maersk Line is calling at CCT.
DENMARK's Maersk Line creates this new service in order to allowing for the optimal combination of efficiency through size and ability to operate at economical speeds.
Its new Asia-Australia service is launched at September 27 and will call at CCT on every Sunday. DENMARK's Maersk Line deploys 10 vessels with the capacity is 4,300TEU this time and the port rotation is Chiwan – Hong Kong – Kaosiung – Sydney – Melborne – Fremantle – Singapore – Tanjung Pelepas – Fremantle – Melborne – Sydney – Brisbane – Yokohama – Nagoya – Osaka – Pusan – Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Chiwan.
