In the morning of November 29, MSC Sola berthed at CCT successfully.
MSC have its first 11,300TEU vessel M.V. MSC Sola deployed on its Far East-Mediterranean “JADE” service. The vessel is designed with LOA of 363m, Breadth of 45.6m and depth of 29.74m.The successful calling did not only create the history of that the first vessel with over 10000TEU of capacity called at Shenzhen western port, but also signaled that CCT’s capability of handling the biggest vessel in the world.
Leaders from Shenzhen Municipal Communication Bureau, Shekou Custom, Shenkou CIQ, Nanshan Group, China Merchants, MSC and CCT celebrated together in order to commemorate this time of day.
Francesco Maresca, captain of MSC Sola and Mr. Zheng Zhao Ping, the GM of CCT addressed speeches separately to express the long friendship between MSC and CCT. Mr. Ma Yong Zhi, the deputy director of Shenzhen Municipal Communication Bureau figured out that the berthing of MSC Sola is a signal of the cooperation confidence between MSC and Shenzhen port, besides, it also has great significance that it enhance the competitiveness of Shenzhen port and advance the development of Shenzhen western port.
MSC Sola launched at port of Pusan on 19th of November, and will go to her last call in South China after loading and discharging before sailing to Singapore.
