According to the appraisal results announced in November 2009 by the Container Branch of the China Ports Association, CCT was awarded the fourth place in the name of “China Top 10 Container Terminals” and “China container terminals contribution” which was on its fourth year achieving the prizes since 2002.This award is based on the throughput statistics of all container terminals in mainland China released by China Ministry of Communications and not only means CCT run the important place in Shenzhen but also in China.
CCT currently operates nine container berths with a total length of 3,400 metres which can provide 24 hours/day 7days/week exceptional terminal services. In 2008, CCT handled over 5,640,000TEU which rank the second in Shenzhen Port as well as fourth in China.
Qianhaiwan Free Trade Port was approved by China State Council on Oct. 18, 2008. As the only Free Trade Port in Shenzhen, the phaseⅠof Qianhaiwan Free Trade Port was officially commissioned on July 10, 2009 and CCT three berths are within the phaseⅠof Qianhaiwan Free Trade Port.
Look into the future, new blood will bring into CCT development through Qianhaiwan Free Trade Port and logistics supporting facilities around CCT.
