On 10th Dec, Chu Kong Transhipment & Logistics Co Ltd (CKS) and Sinoway Shipping Ltd signed an agreement with CCT/SCT at Nanhai Hotel, which marked the formal cooperation on barge service among the four parties.
14 new barge services will be jointly launched, extending CCT / SCT barge feeder network to 30 cities and 46 ports with regular service increasing to 36, which also means barge service coverage within Pearl River Delta area has jumped to 95% from previous 85%.
CKS and Sinoway are the most powerful barge feeders in south China with mature operating experience and well-developed barge service network. The win-win cooperation will bring South China Shuttle Barge Service great improvement by combining resource and advantages from the four parties. In the mean time it marked the primary realization of Western Shenzhen Port barge service layout strategy.
