On 9th Dec, 2009 China (Shenzhen) International Logistic and Transportation Fair & the Fifth International Logistics Festival were kicked off. Being the biggest ports operator in China, China Merchants International Holdings (CMHI) brought along its subordinate enterprises, including the flag terminals in Western Shenzhen ports, CCT(Chiwan Container terminal) and SCT(Shekou Container Terminals), joined this annual event.CCT and SCT jointly presented a vivid display of terminal image and market position as the most preferred gateway in South China, which drew many visitors’ attention.
Western Shenzhen Port, where CCT and SCT located, is the earliest developed port in Shenzhen. After 20 years of development, it has become a vital part of Shenzhen port ,contributing over 50% of Shenzhen Port's total container throughput .
CCT and SCT currently operate 17 container berths, open nearly 120 international container lines covering the majority of the global shipping ports, including America, Europe, the Mediterranean, Southeast Asia, North Asia, Mid-east Asia and Australia etc. CCT and SCT are also among the first terminals achieved ISO14001 Environmental Management System certification. The ‘green terminal’ concept of sustainable development has set a benchmark in the industry.
