Nov 9th-10th, 2012, the 5th China Ports Association Container Branch Meeting & Port Container Terminal (Yantai) Forum was successfully held, when the list of 2011 terminal awards was announced. Chiwan Container Terminal (CCT) and Shekou Container Terminals(SCT) respectively were honored ‘2011 Throughput exceeding 5 Million Award’ and ‘2011 Throughput exceeding 4 Million Award’. Besides, in terms of volume of international transshipment and feeder transport, CCT and SCT both received ‘Outstanding International Transshipment Performance Award’ and ‘Outstanding Feeder Performance Award’ on absolute leading edge. In addition, CCT was awarded a special prize of scientific and technological progress in view of its implementation of the RTG remote control system. CMHI Western Shenzhen Terminals (CCT/SCT) totally received seven awards
Statistics by the Association reveals that CCT and SCT ranked top 10 container terminals in terms of throughput in China for the eighth consecutive years.
