China (Shenzhen) International Logistics & Transportation Fair (CILF) 2013 was successfully held in Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Centre during Oct 14 to 16. As China’s leading terminal operator, China Merchants Holdings International (CMHI) led its business units to participate, promoting its excellent logistics services and company brand. As members of CMHI’s flagship terminals, CMHI Western Shenzhen Terminals (CCT/SCT) joined the exhibition and presented the excellent facilities and services. CILF 2013 had attracted more than 1200 exhibitors of international terminals and prestigious logistics enterprises from over thirty countries. Over 10 professional forums were held with more then 50 speeches delivered.
CMHI Western Shenzhen Terminals (CCT / SCT) as an important component of Shenzhen Port, actively involved in the CILF preparation and participated in related forums and exchange activities. On the eve of the CILF opening, Chiwan Container Terminal (CCT) as the organizer, held the ”Global Port Strategy Forum” reception dinner, which was chaired by Shenzhen Port Association President & CMHI Deputy General Manager Mr. Deng Weidong. CCT Managing Director Mr. Qu Jiandong presented and delivered a speech. On the 14th , CMHI Deputy Managing Director , CCT / SCT Chairman Mr. Zheng Shaoping , CMHI Deputy General Manager Mr. Deng Weidong , SCT Managing Director Mr. Erik Yim, CCT Managing Director Mr. Qu Jiandong , attended the ”Global Port Strategy Forum” , and met Transport Commission of Shenzhen Municipality Director Huangmin before the commence of the forum. Representatives from CMHI western Shenzhen Terminals (CCT/SCT) also attended and witnessed the signing ceremony of establishing sister-relationship between Shenzhen Port and the Port of Halifax of Canada.
CMHI Western Shenzhen Port, where CCT/SCT is located, is the earliest explored area in Shenzhen Port. After 20 years of development, it has taken up a market share of over 50% for ages and established solid place in the market. Taking advantage of the platform CILF provided, CMHI Western Shenzhen Port probed into the market outlook, promoted service as well as strengthened communication with customers, which well impressed the industry friends and help further promote the terminals brand.
