On April 14th 2015, the 18000-TEU CMA CGM KERGUELEN made her maiden call at Chiwan Container Terminal (CCT). The vessel is also the largest container vessel berthing at CMHI Western Shenzhen Terminals.
Measuring 398meters long, 54meters wide, CMA CGM KERGUELEN , the largest container vessel of CMA CGM Group’s, is deployed to FAL1 Asia and Europe service run by O3 alliance, which follows a port rotation of Chiwan-Tangier (22 days)- Southampton(26 days)- Hamburg (28 days)- Rotterdam (31 days)- Zeebrugge (33 days)-Le Havre (34 days). It is reported that CMA CGM KERGUELEN is the first of a series of six same size vessels that will be delivered in 2015. Equipped with the latest green technology, the vessel is able to reduce CO2 emissions by 10% compared to that of previous generation.
