Aiming at bringing Qianhaiwan Free Trade Port into full play after its formal operation, a MOU of ‘set up Logistics Cargo supervised warehouse in Qianhaiwan Borded port to promote Logistics Cargo export through western Shenzhen port’ was signed by Shekou CIQ, Chiwan Container Terminal (CCT), Shekou Container Terminals (SCT), China Merchants Maritime Logistics (CMML) and Jiayuntong Logistics on 21th January 2010.
A serial of supporting and favorable policies were provided. Shekou CIQ will set up supervised warehouses and offices in Qianhaiwan Free Trade Port, CCT and SCT to deal with the operation of Logistics Cargos. CCT/SCT will provide all-round support including favorable rate and preferential operation, while CMML will offer favorable storage rent to Logistic Cargo-related corporations.
The successful signing of MOU means that Logistics Cargos can directly declare CIQ in western Shenzhen port and released without previous declaration in manufacture place and certificate exchange, which will exempt cargo owners from complicated process and thus greatly improve the efficiency.
Shekou CIQ Deputy Director General Mr. Lujian, CCT Deputy General Manager Mr. Qu Jiandong, SCT Deputy General Manager Mr. Erik Yim, CMML General Manager Mr. Yu Shixin and Jiayuntong Logistics General Manager Mr. Huang Jiaming signed on the MOU. Shenzhen CIQ Deputy Director General Mr. Yu Guojun, Shekou CIQ Director General Mr. Zhao Xinliu as well as China Merchant Holdings International Deputy General Manager Mr. Nelson Liu also presented on the signing ceremony.
